Following, he moved to Virginia and once again performed services for the government. Photography was always a companion, and while living in the greater Washington D.C. area he started shooting portfolios for modeling agencies and assisting fellow photographers.

Tom married his wife Wendee in Florence, Italy in 1999 and since has had two children. With the support of his wife the family has re-located back to his roots in the Hudson Valley to expand and develop a photographic voice. " I have had some of the most incredible opportunities one could wish for and lived in and visited some of the most amazing places, but nothing compares to the thrill of personal challenges. For me, it is not the actual accomplishment of goals as it is in the process of achieving them, once I arrive there I get bored and its the next thing. My goals in photography remain a challenge and I demand a lot of myself and expect the highest level artistically, that notion is a tease and feeds a desire to improve and grow".

Tom continues to expand his portfolio and work with commercial clients. A studio has been designed and construction is scheduled to begin in 2009. The journey continues.
